Me Musing; DLC et al . . . . . .

I missed posting on my blog last week. its been a hectic work load lately, but at last i get a breather.
yes its been hectic, but just as rewarding and fulfilling.
the Dynamites Leadership Conference held on the 23rd of June. With over a hundred participants, it was a joy to see the light go off in the eyes of these young ones. i recall being a prefect - the head boy of my alma mata [MerriKen College, Benin City]. that was 13 years ago. good nostalgia. i wish i know back then what i know now, about life and about leadership. its great to be able to give such opportunity to young one that i missed out on.
the whole aim of DLC is to sow the seed of Leadership that will be reaped in the future. we cant keep complaining, for the most part we need to shut up and look carefully to make sense of our experince. the true diagnosis of our present predicament as a nation lies in the fact that no one at that time taught anyone of our present leaders anything about leadership, so what we are going through shouldnt be a suprise.
if we must break the cycle, the time to act is now. that is the essence of the DLC.
there is no stopping till we can consistently replicate this confrence across the nation on a yearly basis.
DLC is one of the brand of TOO[The Otosin Organization] aimed at raising a critical mass of young people who realize and arise on time to rewrite the Nigerian and indeed the African story. the time is now. THE FUTURE IS HERE!
you can check out more picture of the conference as i will subsequently upload on my facebook page www.facebook.com/tosinafolayan

And yes i took off from the conference and had to head to Akure for the Ondo YES [Youth Economic Summit] which was a definitive experience for me. but i'll reserve details of that for later. Just before heading to Akure i honoured an invitation to speak at the 'You Can' seminar that was organized by my friend and colleague Mike Enitan who is a young man to watch out for. it was a joy being a blessing to young lives.
I AM THE NATION and so ARE YOU
