Do it now!

It's been a while since my last post. It's really been a busy year for me. But then I got an experience lately that jarred me from my strayed path, to help me re-evaluate what I really consider important in life. I share my experience with you below. I hope you learn from it.

Do it now!
My friend got married but for good reason I couldn’t attend [by the way I hardly attend weddings]
We met thereafter but his wife was not there just us friends taking time out to chat.
One month on into his marriage my friend travelled out to somewhere in Europe to further his education hoping to be joined subsequently by his wife when her processing visa is done. I felt as a good friend to pay her a visit given her husband’s absence. But I was always busy and found that a good excuse to keep postponing on it. ‘Just before her trip’ I said, or ‘I’ll even see her off to the airport’. I found it convenient to keep putting it off till finally I heard the unpleasant news. She had an accident on her way back from her visit to the embassy. She did not make it.
How do I bear with this? Apart from the pain of witnessing a bright young lady cut down in her prime, there is my grieving friend… less than one year into his marriage, with so much promise…how shall I bear doing now in sorrow what I did not do in time of joy?
I was too busy to check her up in her life now I’m compelled to do so in her death.
I will always live with that regret. I really do hope I’ve learnt my lesson, I hope you share the lesson.
Do not procrastinate on anything especially on relationship. After all what is the use of all else without the people we love and care about.

Here is a video I saw that reinforces this same message. Just follow the link....
